When an old friend sent me an invite to their New Orleans wedding earlier this year, I wholeheartedly RSVPed yes (not that you need a reason to visit NOLA). Though my boyfriend and I were on a limited schedule, we embraced the chance to check out the vibrant city.
Mojo Coffee House has several shops across the city but we stopped into the Magazine Street location after rummaging through a serious amount of vinyl, enamel pins, and prints. I ordered an espresso and tonic which is one of my favorite drinks anywhere. It was smooth, super refreshing, and garnished with lemon.
Whenever you get a random warm day in that strange time between winter and spring in the midwest, you make the most of it. I recently found out that St. Louis city residents are eligible for free admission before noon on Saturdays at the Missouri Botanical Garden. I obviously had to take advantage of this. The more free things I do at home, the more I can spend on trips!
Barista Parlor has expanded in recent years from it's original location in East Nashville to include locations in the Germantown and Gulch neighborhoods. The Germantown location may be my favorite with it's bright space and fun racing theme.
I went on a short walk (it was super windy) with a friend and snapped a couple photos in front of this Nashville mural titled "Stay Tuned." This and the iconic "I Believe in Nashville" murals are a project from Adrian of DCXV. Stop by his shop to get a better souvenir than a shirt with horse on it from downtown.
