Laumeier Sculpture Park- St. Louis, MO
Today I checked out the Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis. As I've only been back in the area about a year and a half, I'm rediscovering places I hadn't been to since I was a kid.
I've been trying to get my boyfriend outside with me more and we compromised by going to the sculpture park. There's a lot to see but the trails around the park are relatively short. There's also a variety of paved and dirt trails making it fairly accessible for most.
My favorites were the larger than life eyeball and the black egg-like sculpture. I liked the eyeball best in black and white but in case you're curious, it's a blue eye.
I also took the opportunity to get a couple photos together. This is easier said than done when you mostly hang out in dark venues together.
The second photo was taken in this triangle shaped bridge sculpture in the reflective side. I'm also a huge fan of reflected photos that distort the simplest of realities.
The park is very dog friendly and there were several sculptures that had a canine theme. We didn't see everything but we'll definitely be back to this unique (and free) public space.
